Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly Food Stamps)
To apply for SNAP, you can fill out the applicable portions of the Application for Public Assistance, or the program specific Food Stamp Program Application.

When you have completed the application take it, mail it or fax it to your local Office of Public Assistance (OPA). 

If you don't know the address of your local Office of Public Assistance, you can click here to use the Quick Program Lookup or click here to find it on the Montana Department of Human Services' website. You may also call the Montana Citizens' Advocate toll free at 1-800-332-2272.
